Let’s be honest. Usually, when Orry is in the news, it’s for something totally random. Maybe it’s his phone case, his “I am a liver” comment, or just him posing awkwardly with a celebrity. We laugh, we scroll, we move on.
But this week? The vibe was completely different.
They were capturing something much more serious: Orry walking into a police station for a grueling interrogation. The internet is currently buzzing with one major headline: Orry questioned for over 7 hours in a massive drug case.
The Marathon Interrogation
He wasn’t the VIP there. It was a long, exhausting day.
Orry walked into the Mumbai Police’s Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC) around 1:30 PM and didn’t leave until after 9 PM. That’s nearly eight hours of questioning. Reports suggest the atmosphere inside wasn’t friendly. They drilled him on exactly which parties he went to and who he knew in this drug ring. It wasn’t just casual chat; they demanded names, dates, and the whole nine yards.
Sources say they were pretty frustrated with his answers. They reportedly found his responses “evasive” and “vague,” which is police code for “we think he knows more than he is saying.” This lack of specific detail is why the police labelled his answers as unsatisfactory. They are now likely checking his travel history, call records, and financial transactions to see if there is any deeper link to the organizers beyond just a selfie.
The “Lavish” Connection
To get why Orry is even involved in this, you have to know about this guy named Mohammed Salim Shaikh, or as everyone calls him, ‘Lavish.’
This guy isn’t booking wedding venues. He is a heavyweight in this syndicate who was literally kicked out of Dubai and handed over to the Mumbai police. And the second, the officers started applying pressure? He folded. He didn’t protect his ‘clients’—he started singing like a canary to save his own skin.
He admitted to throwing these insane parties where drugs were allegedly flowing freely. And guess whose name popped up? This direct “naming” is what forced the police to send a summons to Orry.
What’s the Deal with the Rs 252 Crore?
It started back in March 2024 when the police raided a factory in Sangli—which is pretty far from Mumbai—and found a mountain of drugs. They seized over 120 kilos of Mephedrone (MD), worth about Rs 252 crore. That’s not just “personal use”; that’s a syndicate.
It turns out this factory was the heart of an interstate drug syndicate that was pumping drugs into Mumbai’s party circuit. The police are now trying to connect the dots between the manufacturers in Sangli, the distributors like “Lavish,” and the high-society consumers in Mumbai who might be buying it.
Orry’s Defence: “I Was Just Posing”
After seven hours, you would expect a complex defense. But Orry kept it simple.
Reportedly, his defense was very “Orry.” He denied knowing anything about drugs being used or supplied. He told officials that he gets invited to countless parties solely for his “brand value” and to click photos with celebrities. Orry told the cops that showing up is literally his job. He’s too busy working his angles to notice if anyone is breaking the law.
He also denied knowing “Lavish” personally.
Not the Only One
Orry isn’t the only one sweating right now. The police are going after the whole circle. Just a day before Orry’s questioning, actor Siddhanth Kapoor (brother of Shraddha Kapoor) was also called in by the police in connection with the same case. It seems the Mumbai Police are cracking down hard on the link between the drug underworld and Bollywood’s glamour circle.
What Now?
For now, Orry has been allowed to go home. But don’t expect him to be back to his usual self immediately. The investigation is still very much active. If the police find any proof that contradicts his story—like a text message or a photo that proves he knew “Lavish” better than he claims—things could get ugly fast. Right now, he is just trying to survive the law.
